Dealing with this condition might have been quite difficult for us as we would have run to the restroom quite often, leaving us totally tired and vexed.

But on knowing as to how to tackle this problem, it will be quite easier to deal with the unpleasant situations associated with loose stools.
Diet plays an important role when we have diarrhoea. The knowledge of the food stuffs to be avoided during this condition can ease our discomfort to a large extent.

Caffeine:
Though it is difficult to carry on with the day afresh without having caffeinated drinks like tea or coffee, it is best to avoid these drinks as they might aggravate the symptoms of diarrhoea.
Let us see how! Caffeine does not allow digesting the food we consume properly because of the sudden contraction of the gut making the food move swiftly than it normally does.
As a result, the food is not assimilated properly. The acidity of the caffeinated drinks can also worsen the symptoms of diarrhoea.

Alcohol:
Too much of alcohol consumption can be directly related to upsetting the stomach! Let us know the reason! Basically, alcohol causes gut irritation and decreases its ability to absorb water.
Thus, water is passed out in the stools causing loose motions. It is always best to avoid alcohol for your general well being!

Spicy Foods:
The levels of tolerating spicy foods may vary from individual to individual. Eating spicy foods can be directly linked to loose stools. Well! Let us know why!
These foods can easily irritate the inner lining of the stomach as well as the intestine thus causing the food to move swiftly without proper digestion, thus contributing to loose stools.

Cabbage And Cauliflower:
Certain vegetables should be stayed away from when you have diarrhoea. Some of these include cabbage and cauliflower. Let us try to understand the reason!
The above-mentioned vegetables can cause flatulence that is the accumulation of gas in the alimentary canal. So, when you have an upset stomach, it is better to give it some rest than to load it with difficult eateries to digest.
Thus it is always best to avoid vegetables like cabbage and cauliflower for us to sail through this uncomfortable condition.

Sugar-free Foods:
Artificial sweeteners can be put under this category of the foods to be avoided during diarrhoea. Let us know the reason behind this!
These sugar substitutes can contain a sweetening agent called lycasin which is very laxative in nature thus prolonging the symptoms of this condition.
This food also contributes to gas and bloating which causes difficulty in digestion. Therefore, strictly stay away from the artificial sweeteners.

Dairy Products:
Dairy products such as milk, butter, soft cheese and ice-creams are not for you when you have diarrhoea. Let us know the reason!
The enzyme called lactase is needed for the digestion of milk-based foods. This enzyme production is low at the onset of this irritating condition. So, the stomach finds it very difficult in the digestion of the dairy products.
Also, the sugars found in this food may cause bloating, gas and nausea which are the conditions that may aggravate the symptoms of loose motions.
