Are You Dealing With These Sleep Issues?
Are you getting proper sleep at night? Are you sleeping at a stretch? Are you getting up refreshed in the morning? If not, then there are certain sleep issues that you could be dealing with.
Read on to know about these sleep issues in order to be able to combat these as early as possible in order to lead a healthy and disease-free life.

The first sleep issue that you could be dealing with is insomnia. Insomnia is a sign, not a diagnosis or a disease. Insomnia or sleeplessness is not defined by the particular number of hours of sleep that one gets, since people vary widely in their slumber needs and practices. Insomnia is usually classified based on the length of the problem.
Symptoms lasting less than one week are categorized as temporary insomnia, signs between one to three weeks are categorized as short term sleeplessness, and those longer than three weeks are categorized as chronic sleeplessness.

Insomnia can be due to numerous reasons. These causes can be divided into situational factors, medical or psychiatric illnesses or primary sleep issues. The causes of insomnia include uncomfortable room temperature, jet leg, stressful situations, drugs, alcohol, depression, usage of certain drugs, hormonal imbalances in women, caffeine, etc.

The next sleep issue that you could be dealing with is serious snoring. The issue that you could be dealing with here is sleep apnea. In this case when you are sleeping at night, you end up snoring because you stop breathing for a period of time. Hence you end up not getting enough sleep during the night and you wake up tired and sleepy in the morning.

One way to cure this problem is to go for a surgery. The other way is to go for oral appliances. This is a serious issue as when the person stops breathing, enough oxygen does not reach the brain. Hence, this type of sleep issue needs to be dealt with immediately.
If you are dealing with sleep issues because of nature's calls at night, it is time to get yourself tested. This could be due to high blood sugar, hormonal imbalances or urinary or bladder infection.
