Hickeys are commonly known as love bite or kiss imprints. These are the marks that generally reminds you of the intense moments you spent with your partner.
Hickeys are formed when the skin is bitten or sucked hard. This results with broken capillaries that looks like bruises that appear on the skin. These love bites are of blue or red colour and sometimes it does have a swelling.

Ice
Using ice cubes on the hickey turns out to be very useful as it constricts the blood vessels and diminishes the swelling. Apply ice to get rid of hickeys overnight. Make sure you do not apply ice on the skin directly as it can worsen the condition. Apply the ice by wrapping it in a towel and pressing it gently on the affected portion.
Pineapple
This may sound crazy but it actually works. Cut a few slices of pineapple and apply them on the love bite. You can use pineapple juice as well. Repeat the process for a couple of times in a day and see the hickey disappear.
Chilled Spoon
This is another effective remedy to get quick relief from the pain and swelling caused by a hickey. Take a spoon and keep it in the freezer for a while. When the spoon is chilled massage it on the hickey.
Alcohol
Alcohol is known for its soothing, cooling and disinfectant properties. All that you need to do is rub some alcohol over the hickey using a cotton ball. Once it is dry, immediately apply a moisturiser. This avoids the skin from getting dry.
Banana Peels
Banana peels have a cooling and soothing properties which makes them a good agent to get relief from hickeys. Place the banana peel over the love bite and leave it for a while. It will help to get relief from a hickey quickly.
Warm Compress
If the love bite is more than 2-3 days old then you can try warm compress therapy. Dip a towel in warm water and apply it on the hickey. It helps to improve the circulation of the blood and lightens the colour of the hickey too. Make sure you do not apply warm water directly on the area.
Toothpaste
Apply some amount of toothpaste on the hickey. It may cause a tingling sensation but will help to fade away the hickey quickly. Wash it with lukewarm water after 10 minutes. Repeat this process twice in a day.
