Most women are usually advised not to workout during periods. But the truth of the matter is that exercise might actually be beneficial to you during your periods. This is so because it increases blood circulation reduces bloating and even helps in alleviating menstrual cramps.

Doing abdominal workouts during your periods is a great way to loosen the stomach muscles. You might think that doing crunches would be counterproductive, but they might actually help soothe the pain you feel from your menstrual cramps.

When you are on your periods, you will naturally be averse to the idea of going to the gym or stepping outside for a brisk walk or jog. If you get some home work out tapes, it will help you workout during your periods at your own pace.
