Diseases Which Should Be Eradicated In India
India is one of the countries in the world which has a lot of diseases engulfing in the urban and the rural parts. It is said that every time a foreigner visits our country, India, he is besotted with the beauty that runs deep in every corner. But, then again he is also stunned with the fact that India has so many diseases which is life threatening and contagious too. Today, the authorities have taken a lot of steps to enhance the health situation in India but to no avail these disease which is enlisted below are eradicated.
The fatal diseases lurking in every corner of our country is increasing by the minute, thus there are many people who have fallen prey to these diseases and facing a tormented death.
In theory, if the right medications were available, all these infectious diseases would have been eradicated. However, biological features of infectious diseases and technical factors have strongly limited their potential eradication. There are certain things which need to be taken into consideration when it comes to eradication of some diseases in the next three years. One of the most important things which should be kept in mind is an effective intervention which must be available to interrupt transmission of the disease.
Here are some of the diseases which should be eradicated in India in the next three years.

Tuberculosis
Our country India has the largest number of TB patients in the world (which is around 2.2 million). It is said that at least one person dies of the disease every two minutes in India.

Malaria
The second most illness which should be eradicated in India is malaria which is caused due to mosquitoes. The sting of the mosquito continues to be one of the gravest threats to the millions in our country.

Dengue
When it comes to mosquitoes, India is thriving with these pests causing a number of diseases. Dengue is one such illness which is taking the lives of many in our country. India ranks first in the world, with about 34 per cent of dengue cases.

Polio
India is one of the main countries in the world where a lot of kids are suffering with this illness. Poliomyelitis is a highly infectious disease caused by a virus. It invades the nervous system and leads to irreversible paralysis.

Viral Hepatitis
One of the main diseases India should eliminate in the next 3 years is, Viral Hepatitis. According to research it shows that about 2.50 lakh people in India die of viral hepatitis. This disease is a condition where there is an inflammation in the liver.

Leprosy
This illness continues to haunt India. Leprosy is a chronic infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium leprae. It usually affects the skin and peripheral nerves and has a wide range of clinical manifestations.

Yellow fever
This acute systemic disease is caused by a virus called Flavivirus. The viral infection causes high fever, bleeding in the skin and necrosis of cells in the kidney and liver. The damage done to the liver from the virus results in severe jaundice.

Rabies
The street dogs are one of the main causes of Rabies disease. It is a virus which is spread through the bite of an infected animal like a dog or cat.

Typhoid fever
This is yet another disease which needs to be eliminated in the next three years in India. The bacterial disease spreads through the contact of food and water which is contaminated by fecal matter or sewage.

Chikungunya
One of the mosquito-borne viral diseases which should be eliminated in India in the next three years is, Chikungunya. It brings the onset of fever, rash, and severe joint pain which usually lasts for 3-7 days. In some cases, the chikungunya results in persistent arthritis.
