1.One of the most effective home made cough syrups is to boif one cup of water withfive basil leaves (tulsi), a small piece of ginger and half spoon of fresh crushed pepper. Let the water boil for five minutes. Strain and drink the decoction. Drink it twice a day for effective cure from coughing.
2.The next best homemade cough syrup recipe is to boil four cups of water with 2 ' cup of freshly chopped ginger. Bring it to a boil till the ginger is soft. Take it off the fire and leave it to cool for the next 12-14 hours. Next day add the same quantity of cider vinegar and bring it to a boil once again. Add enough sugar to the solution and tale one spoon twice a day.
3.Boil some cherries in two cups of water with several slices of lemon to it. Boil it till the cherries are soft. Add some garlic pieces to it, when still warm. Strain it and take two spoons everyday twice a day.
4.Grate some onion and extract the juice, mix it with two spoons of lemon juice and bring it to a boil. Remove from fire and add honey. Let it rest for one night and take one spoon daily.
These homemade cough syrup recipe will cure coughing quickly without any side effects.
