Foods for healthy stomach:
Yogurt: Consuming fresh and natural yogurt is important for a healthy stomach by retaining healthy mucous and acidophilus. These avoid stomach infections and irritable bowel syndrome.
Garlic: With its antiseptic properties, garlic is the best healthy stomach food. Eating garlic regularly will kill harmful stomach bacteria, thus avoiding digestive disorders.
Whole Grains: Whole grains are a rich source of fiber as well as nutrients. Some of the examples of stomach friendly grains is brown rice, barley, oatmeal and popcorn (air popped).
Baked Chicken: Bland chicken that has been baked without any marinade, can be easily digested by the stomach. This will not exert much pressure on the digestive process, not will it lead to production of gases that will cause discomfort.
Fish: Again baked fish is a good stomach food. However, consuming it without too much of seasonings and, too much oil is essential to keep the stomach healthy. Include this in your healthy stomach diet.
Vegetables: Leafy vegetables, carrots, beets, beans etc are the best food for a healthy stomach. However, remember to wash it well if you are going to consume it raw or steam it well before consumption. Vegetables are fibrous and help in easier digestion.
Fruits: Most of the fruits are good for the stomach. But, avoid certain combinations as the gases released during digestion might cause stomach pain or discomfort. For example, avoid eating banana and watermelon together, as they do not go well together.
