How does red wine promote healthy heart?
Red wine is said to promote healthy heart and it has been proved to be specially beneficial for people who are within the age of 30 to 50. Red wine promotes healthy heart by raising the level of HDL cholesterol which is the good cholesterol. Red wine prevents blood clots and reduces blood vessel damage. Red wine prevents fat deposit and thus, helps heart to work better. Red wine is also rich in antioxidants, particularly resveratrol and the flavonoids. This helps in enhancing the working of arteries and prevent blood clots. Drinking red wine at moderate rate is advised by doctors.
How dark chocolate promotes healthy heart?
"Chemical in cocoa beans has a biochemical effect similar to aspirin in reducing platelet clumping, which can be fatal if a clot forms and blocks a blood vessel, causing a heart attack," said Diane Becker from Johns Hopkins University in Maryland, USA, who led the study. Dark chocolates also has properties to reduce blood pressure and widen blood vessels. This assures proper working of the heart. Thus, dark chocolates is good for healthy heart.
