Workaholics And BP – The Reason Behind It!

Blood pressure (BP) also known as hypertension comes due to stress and personal influence at a workplace. Work pressure becomes unmanageable at times and the person should not avoid symptoms of BP like dizziness, headaches, blood in urine, breathing difficulty, anxiety, sweating, bleeding nose and pale face.
Visit a doctor if you feel such symptoms because BP can also be a symptom of other heart diseases. For example, tiredness or laziness could be a symptom of a damaged heart or weak functioning of it. This often leads to breathlessness and excessive sweating. Blood in urine can be a sign of damaged kidneys.
Below are the reasons of BP due to work pressure:
1. Diet goes on a risk, when working people don"t pay attention to the food they are consuming. Treating hunger with any available food item is unhealthy for the body as work pressure can be beaten by a healthy diet. Juice, green vegetables and a lot of water is the best option to fight work load. Have light food and avoid street food as it has an impact on digestion.
2.Smoking and drinking these days are considered as a stress breaker and workers find it a way to come out of hypertension. Thus, their addiction to such wrong items has decreased their life span added to the blood pressure changes.
3.Continuous stress can lead to physical, emotional and psychological problems. Stress can cause hypertension to repeated blood pressure flips. White coat hypertension (due to anxiety), job strain, race, emotional distress and social work environment are few common factors which bring stress followed by hypertension. Chronic stress due to excessive stress on your mind, exposes your body to unhealthy elevated levels of stress hormones like adrenaline and cortisol which changes the way of blood flow thus leading to blood clots. Overall, research show that stress doesn"t directly cause hypertension but has an effect on its development. Stress can be due to:Competition: Work pressure is mainly due to the competition at work place to build, maintain and develop their position at office. Market competition or bosses" pressure to stand up to expectations also increase unhealthy completion. Relationship- Relations go at a stake when couples find it difficult to manage house and home simultaneously. Regular fights and lack of understanding increases stress and hypertension. Physical fitness- Lack of exercise adds to the hypertension and irregular blood flow. Exercise rejuvenates the body and gives relief from stress. Due to hectic schedules, working people have stopped doing exercise which is not to be supported. Aerobic exercise releases endorphins (natural substances which relaxes your body and brings a positive attitude towards stress)
How to reduce stress: Effective time management, seeking help when required, setting priorities and taking out time for yourself is considered as the best way to come out of stress. Being assertive helps you stand up for your rights and beliefs while respecting those of others.
Career is important so is health. Both can"t be ignored. So find out ways to reduce blood pressure and not increase it.
