Beware! Strict Dieters May Hunt For Food

Dieting

Enduring the diet for a long time may cause lifetime of overeating and even lead to drastic changes to the brain. This may also lead them to stay off the temptaions like ice-creams and chocolates.

The alterations made with the long-term dieting may lead to the failure in the functioning of the key part of the brain that controls our feelings. The stress provided by the restricted diet may affect the release of a hormone called norepinephrine, which may later make the dieters hunt for food.

This research was conducted by Rossella Ventura, from the Santa Lucia Foundation in Rome. She says that the dieters should be able to switch off the hormone, norepinephrine.
