6 Unhealthy Cooking Oils

We love fried foods but unfortunately, frying involves usage of lots of oil. The problem with processed oils is that they are the reason behind clogged arteries.

And some other cooking oils do contain harmful chemical compounds that damage your health in many ways. And on the other hand, we tend to heat the oils at high temperatures which could make them more harmful.

Processed oils like sunflower oil soybean oil and corn oil aren't good because they contain omega 6 polyunsaturated fatty-acids. These oils contain compounds that could cause certain changes in the human system and in the long run, may damage health.

In fact, coconut oil and olive oil are comparatively healthier. Now, let us know why processed oils are bad.


Canola Oil

Canola oil or rapeseed oil is a product of canola plant. The problem is lots of pesticides are used to keep the canola crop safe. And we all know that pesticide exposure can cause certain types of cancers, obesity and even ADHD.


Corn Oil

Corn oil is said to damage liver and thymus gland when heated before consumption. It may also affect sperm production.


Cottonseed Oil

Cottonseed oil is said to interfere with hormones. Avoid margarine too. Use olive oil if you need to use some cooking oil.


Sunflower Oil

Even Sunflower oil is said to contain linoleic acid. Excessive quantities may cause growth of tumors. Coconut oil is said to better.


Peanut Oil

Peanut oil is said to affect men. Excessive usage for cooking isn't recommended as some studies claim that it may cause sterility.


Soybean Oil

Soybean oil is said to contain linoleic acid. Excessive consumption of this oil may raise the risk of tumors in the colon and breast.
