Nutrition Tips For Track Athletes
An athlete has a different concept and definition of staying healthy as compared to a normal person. They require nutrients in a different level compared to others. Sports nutrition tips are more concentrated in the stamina building and working capacity of the athletes.
Today, we shall discuss some nutritional tips for young athletes who have just set out to make their mark in the sports field. These nutritional tips are general and each athlete might have a specific requirement too. Nutritional tips for young athletes consist of several diet tips for the sports person.

1. Carbohydrate Diet
This is the most important of all the nutrients for an athlete. Nutritional tips for young athletes advice them to increase their carbohydrates content. Carbohydrates are like fuel to any athlete. Carbohydrates convert into sugars which are stored in the form of glycogen in the muscles. During any high intensity event, the glycogen gets converted to energy. Thus, sports nutrition tips have carbohydrate containing foods included. N athlete should have at least 70% of carbohydrates coming in form of calories from foods like bread, pasta, vegetables and fruits.

2. Proteins

4. Keep the body hydrated
Exercising results in a lot of sweating, therefore water is lost by the body. Sweating causes loss in water which can cause problems to the body. An athlete should have a minimum of 5 to 6 litres of water every day. Athletes can have water in between their exercises too. Athletes should not wait to get thirsty to drink water. By the time athletes feel thirsty they might get dehydrated. This is a nutritional tip for young athletes and is also included in sports nutritional tips.

5. Electrolytes
Sweating causes a loss in energy and electrolytes. Athletes need to keep their energy up always and this can be done by using a lot of fluids. Athletes must keep on drinking fluids like glucose,fruit juices and other energy drinks to keep the electrolyte content in a good level. This is a good nutritional tips for young athletes. They must keep all these general sports nutrition tips in mind.
