1. Chia seeds also called salvia hispanica belongs to the mint family. It not only provides nutrition but also takes care of weight gain. The seeds play a part in the aztec civilisation, which is why they are used in the raw food diet. Apart from the omega acids, they contain α-linolenic acids.
