Effective Home Remedies To Treat Constipation
Constipation is not a topic that you would enjoy to discuss in a civilised conversation. Many people are uncomfortable talking about it. This painful and frustrating experience is something that everyone faces at some point of time.
This is usually not a serious situation, but a very concerning one. Constipation occurs when the bowel movement becomes difficult or less. The bowel movement varies from person to person, but no bowel movement for more than 3 days is too long.
12 FOODS TO CLEAN YOUR STOMACH
Constipation can be caused due to a lot of problems. A few reasons are mentioned here. It can occur due to inadequate intake of water or fibre content, disruption of the regular diet, less exercise, stress, pregnancy, depression, eating disorders, irritable bowel syndrome, colon cancer, overuse of laxatives, hypothyroidism, Parkinson’s diseases and antacid medications.
A few symptoms of constipation are infrequent bowel movement, swollen abdomen, abdominal pain, pain and vomiting. All the symptoms may not occur in one person. Doctors will confirm constipation with some tests to check for any hormonal imbalance or to check if there is any obstruction in the colon.
To avoid all these problems, one of the simplest ways to constipation cures is to follow some home remedies. This will save you from a lot of uneasy bathroom visits. These remedies are very natural and there is no need for fear of any side effects. The following are a few home remedies for constipation.

Oil
Just like oiling up your engine, your body too requires to be oiled up for constipation cures. Olive Oil is a solution to this. The texture and the consistency of this oil in the digestive system will ease the bowel movements and in due time, it will completely cure the constipation. Olive oil will work best on an empty stomach, so a tablespoon of olive oil as soon as you wake up should do the trick.

Exercises
You need a regular amount of exercise daily to get those bowel moving. This is not considered as one of the home remedies for constipation, but this needs to be added to your daily routine to keep your body healthy. There are specific stretches that can be done particularly for constipation.

Fiber Content
An overall improvement in your diet, additions of a good amount of fibre and removal of all the junk foods will help prevent your constipation. This is one of the most effective home remedies for constipation, where you bring a change to your lifestyle. Your diet should include more fibre, which acts as a sponge and helps the food to pass.

Flax seeds
This is one of the effective home remedies for constipation, where the flax oil will coat the intestine and the food will work together for better bowel movements. This along with orange juice will add to the effect, because of the high fibre content in the orange juice. This is not an immediate remedy as it will take at least 5 hours to start working.

Bacteria
Good bacteria are required for the body, especially when it receives more of processed foods. Yogurt contains probiotics, which will help the bacteria in the body to flourish. This will in turn keep the body strong and will prevent constipation or at least reduce the severity. Having a cup of yogurt for breakfast and as a snack throughout the day will help you with this.
