This process is of 28 days. But many a times, few factors interfere with the process causing missed periods or delayed periods.
5 Major Causes Of Late Periods
Stress – Stress, the cause of many illnesses, is also the one which results in late periods. Stress, leads to reduction of the creation of hormones (GnrH), which results in the delay of egg formation and thus delayed periods.
Change In Schedule – Any change of schedule, disturbs the body clock. Your body is accustomed to a particular timing of food, sleep, work etc on which your timing of periods also depend. When these timings are disturbed, the timing of periods also change.
Overweight – Fat can be one of the major reasons of delayed periods. Fat sometimes accumulates in the region of the uterus. The uterus is under so much pressure and it is unable to release the egg. Underweight – If the body is devoid of the necessary fat then it is quite possible that you will have late periods or periods may stop completely. Underweight also has a negative impact on hormone development. Just because your hormones are unable to develop, your periods get restricted.
Pre Menopause – This is the time when your body is transferring itself from reproductive to non-reproductive state. The menstrual cycle is bound to be affected. You may miss your periods, have less days of periods or even experience no periods for few months.
Home Remedies For Late Periods
1.Include two dates and 1 glass of hot milk in your breakfast. Take this for 5 days and it is expected that periods will start on the 6th day.
2.Increase the intake of fish. It has Omega-3, which eases the spasms during menstruation.
3.Consumption of Grapes or grape juice, is an effective way of regularizing the menstrual cycle.
4.Parsley is a medicinal herb for all menstrual problems. Parsley juice consumed everyday, regularizes menstruation cycle.
5.If due to some disorder, your periods have stopped, then have Karela (Bitter Gourd) juice twice a day. This helps in commencing the periods.
6.Grind Raddish seeds and mix it with butter milk. Drink this regularly. It results in regular periods.
7.The raw Papaya is the best medicine for menstrual cycle. Include boiled raw Papaya in your lunch and dinner.
8.Powdered Coriander seeds taken thrice a day, gives positive result.
9.Regular consumption of carrot juice, prevents the menstrual cycle from disorders.
