Salmon
Eating salmon fish once or twice a week can lower the risk of heart attack. There are unsaturated fats called Omega-3 fatty acids in fish which are known to reduce the risk of heart diseases. You can have grilled salmon or a crispy salmon salad at breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Oatmeal
Oatmeal is rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, magnesium, potassium, folate, niacin, calcium and soluble fiber. The soluble fiber present in oatmeal lower cholesterol levels. Have a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast. You can top it with fresh berries.

Almonds
Yes, almonds are good for your heart health. As they are high in monounsaturated fatty acids, Vitamin E, magnesium, fiber, heart-favourable mono and polyunsaturated fats, and phytosterols, almonds reduce the risk of heart diseases.

Black or Kidney Beans
Kidney beans or black beans help regulate blood sugar, lower cholesterol and blood pressure and protect you from heart attack. Besides it is also high in Vitamin B complex; niacin, folate, magnesium, omega-3 fatty acids, calcium and soluble fiber. Men must have this heart healthy food in their diet.

Red wine
Red wine is good for your heart. Sounds great, isn't it! Yes red wine if consumed in moderation, is good for your heart as the antioxidants present in red wine prevent heart diseases. They help increase levels of good cholesterol and protect against artery damage.

Oranges

Tea
Tea is high in antioxidants and the key antioxidants in tea are flavanoids. It prevents blood clots and lower blood cholesterol. They inhibit the formation of plaque in artery walls. Having one or two cups of tea daily is not a bad deal if it keeps your heart healthy.
