Anshula Kapoor's Patola-Inspired Mehendi Lehenga Is A Bridal Dream; Here's Why She Chose It
Anshula Kapoor, daughter of producer Boney Kapoor and sister of actor Arjun Kapoor, is all set to tie the knot with fiance Rohan Thakkar. The couple is set to get married on July 6, 2026, in an intimate ceremony in Mumbai.
Ahead of the wedding, the Kapoor family came together to celebrate Anshula's mehendi ceremony. The celebrations were attended by close family members, including sisters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor, along with cousin Sonam Kapoor, who shared glimpses of the festivities on social media.
Inside Anshula Kapoor's Mehendi Ceremony
According to Sonam Kapoor's Instagram Story, the mehendi function featured vibrant marigold floral decorations, a traditional mehendi setup, live tabla performances and skilled mehendi artists creating beautiful henna designs. The intimate celebration was attended by close family members, who were seen enjoying the festivities together.
The celebration was made even more special as Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor personally planned and hosted the mehendi ceremony for their sister. Sharing pictures from the event, Anshula revealed that she had no idea what her sisters had planned and described the surprise as a heartfelt gesture that made the occasion even more memorable.
A Look At Anshula Kapoor's Mehendi Outfit
For the mehendi ceremony, Anshula Kapoor chose a custom teal blue Patola-inspired embroidered lehenga by designer Arpita Mehta. The outfit featured a rich teal blue base beautifully highlighted with vibrant multicoloured embroidery in shades of red, pink, green, orange and blue, inspired by traditional Gujarati Patola textiles. Signature mirror work, intricate hand embroidery and handcrafted detailing added to the festive appeal of the ensemble.
The outfit also featured:
- A flared lehenga skirt with intricate handcrafted embroidery
- A matching embroidered blouse with a sweetheart neckline
- A coordinated embroidered dupatta finished with elegant tassel detailing
Sharing the inspiration behind her outfit, Anshula wrote, "For my mehendi, I wanted my outfit to honour the family I was stepping into."
Anshula Kapoor's Jewellery
Anshula paired her colourful lehenga with a statement kundan choker, matching earrings, a maang tikka and stacked bangles. She also opted for floral mehendi-friendly accessories, allowing the intricate bridal henna to remain the highlight of her overall look.
Anshula Kapoor's Hair And Makeup
Not just her jewellery, Anshula Kapoor decided to keep her hairstyle and makeup simple as well. She styled her hair in soft waves and opted for fresh, glowing makeup with softly defined eyes, a hint of shimmer and a neutral lip colour. The natural bridal look perfectly complemented her vibrant mehendi outfit without overpowering it.
Rohan Thakkar's Sweet Gesture Wins Hearts
Anshula Kapoor's colourful ensemble beautifully blended traditional Patola textile art from Gujarat with contemporary bridal silhouettes and Arpita Mehta's signature mirror work, making it a perfect choice for a joyful mehendi celebration.
Adding to the special moments of the day, fiance Rohan Thakkar greeted Anshula with a warm hug and danced to the song 'Le Jayenge Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge', leaving the bride-to-be all smiles. The ceremony was filled with love, laughter and heartfelt family moments as the couple now prepares to begin a new chapter in their lives.
