Bell Pepper Mushroom Recipe For Lunch

The bell pepper mushroom recipe is enriched with flavour since bell pepper alone has a spicy and tangy twist when cooked. The bell pepper mushroom recipe is easy to make and not at all time consuming. This special lunch recipe will go well as a side dish. One of the best things about this bell pepper mushroom recipe is the colour of the dish which will make you feel all the more hungry.

Serves - 4
Preparation Time - 35 minutes
Cooking Time - 30 minutes
Ingredients
- Olive oil - 2 tbsp
- Black pepper - 3 tbsp
- Basil leaves - 2 sprigs (finely chopped)
- Mushrooms - 12 nos (diced)
- Onions - 2 nos (chopped)
- Red peppers - 1 (chopped)
- Green pepper - 1 (chopped)
- Water - 1/2cup
- Salt to taste
Procedure
- On a medium flame, pour 1 tbsp of olive oil into a pan. When the olive oil is hot, drop in the onions to fry until they turn pinkish brown in colour.
- Now add in the black pepper, red and green pepper to the pan and fry till they are cooked. If necessary, add in 1/2 tbsp of olive oil to the mixture.
- When the peppers are cooked a little, drop in the mushrooms and stir with the help of a spoon. Make sure that the mushroom is coated with the pepper masala.
- Add in only a spoon of water and cook on a medium flame.
- When the contents are cooked, add the salt to taste and give it just one stir.
- Now switch the flame off and garnish the dish with the finely chopped basil leaves.
Your bell pepper mushroom dish is now ready to eat. This side dish can be eaten along with dal and chawal. It will enhance the taste of your healthy meal.
