Cooking Time - 20 mins

All you need

  • Beetroot - 3 (chopped)
  • Onions - 2 (chopped)
  • Chili powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Coconut - 1/2 (grated)
  • Mustard - 1/2 tsp
  • Channa Dal - 2 tsp
  • Turmeric - a pinch
  • Curry leaves - 5-6
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt To Taste
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Delicious Soya Cheese Kebab!


      1. Add oil in a pan and mustard seeds to it. Add cumin seeds and stir.
      2. To the pan add onions and channa dal and fry it until it turns golden brown.
      3. Add the chopped beetroot to the pan with onions and stir for a while on a medium flame.
      4. Add chilli powder, turmeric powder and garlic paste to the the pan and saute it for a while.
      5. Once it starts getting dry add little water to the pan for the beetroot to cook well.
      6. Make sure the beetroot is tender and the water is sufficient enough to not make it soggy.
      7. Once the beetroot is cooked take it our from flame and garnish some grated coconut on it.
      8. Beetroot puriyal is ready!
