Yummy Aloo Dahi With Hing Recipe
Potatoes are an all time favourite vegetable that can be cooked instantly. To prepare some delicious and lip smacking recipes, you can use potato as a chief ingredient. There are many aloo recipes that you can try for breakfast,. Lunch, snacks or for dinner, from side dishes to appetizers, potatoes are widely used in the Indian cuisine.
As the lunch time comes closer, you only wonder what to prepare. If you extensively use potatoes and want to try something different to treat your taste buds, then here is a simple and quick aloo dahi recipe. This is a tangy side dish which is prepared with the curd. The boiled potatoes when mixed with curd gives an aromatic flavour which makes it lip smacking and delicious. Aloo dahi with hing, side dish recipe:

Serves: 3
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 20-25 minutes
Ingredients
1.Potatoes- 3-4
2. Curd- 250 gms
3. Green chilli- 2-3 (chopped)
4. urmeric powder- 1tsp
5. Red chilli powder- 1tsp
6. Coriander powder- ½ tsp
7. Water- ½ cup
8. Curry leaves- 4-5 leaves
9. Cumin seeds- 1tsp
10. Mustard seeds- ½ tsp
11. Oil- 1tbsp
12. Salt- as per taste
Procedure
1. Wash the potatoes and cut them into 4 halves. Pressure cook in a pressure cooker for the duration of 2 whistles.
2. When the pressure releases, open the lid and peel the potato skin. Keep the boiled potatoes aside.
3. In a bowl, beat the curd using little water. Once the curd becomes watery and lumps are not visible, keep it aside.
4. Heat oil in a deep bottomed frying pan. Season with mustard seeds, hing, curry leaves and cumin seeds.
5. Now add the boiled potatoes and mix well. Sprinkle salt, coriander powder, green chilli, turmeric powder and cook for 2-3 minutes on a medium flame.
6. Add the red chilli powder and then immediately pour the beaten curd, and stir continuously. Do not stop and stir slowly for 3-4 minutes on a high flame.
7. When the sabji starts boiling, leave stirring and cook for another minute.
Turn off the flame.
Your aloo dahi with hing is ready to eat. Serve it hot with rotis.
