Delicious Cauliflower Pulao Recipe
It is the season for cauliflower and many other lovely vegetables. So, grab this opportunity and use these healthy and tasty greens to make some mouthwatering delights. Cauliflower is a vegetable which has some amazing health benefits too. It is a great source of vitamin C, low in fat, fights cancer and is a rich source of fibre. Therefore, today we have a delicious rice recipe with cauliflower for you to try.
Known as cauliflower pulao or gobi pulao, this rice recipe is extremely easy to make. You can always add in other vegetables of your choice to make the dish all the more interesting. However, this recipe with the combination of cauliflower and green peas is simply hard to resist.

Ingredients
- Basmati rice- 1 cup
- Cauliflower- 1 (cut into medium sized florets)
- Green peas- ½ cup
- Onion- 1 (sliced)
- Tomatoes- 3 (chopped)
- Ginger-garlic paste- 2tsp
- Green chillies- 2 (slit)
- Turmeric powder- ½ tsp
- Red chilli powder- 1tsp
- Cumin powder- 1tsp
- Garam masala powder- 1tsp
- Pepper powder- ½ tsp
- Salt- as per taste
- Cumin seeds- 1tsp
- Cinnamon stick- 1
- Green cardamoms- 2
- Bay leaf- 1
- Oil- 1tbsp
- Water- 2 cups
Procedure
- Wash the rice thoroughly with water. Keep it aside.
- Heat oil in a deep bottomed pan and add cumin seeds, bay leaf, cinnamon, cardamoms. Fry for a few seconds.
- Then add in the sliced onion, ginger-garlic paste and fry for a 3-4 minutes on a medium flame.
- Now add the cauliflower florets, green peas, green chillies and fry for another 3-4 minutes.
- To the pan add in the chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder, pepper powder, garam masala powder and cook for a few minutes.
- Add in the basmati rice and stir fry for 2-3 minutes.
- Then add water and mix well. Cover and cook for 10-12 minutes on low flame.
- Once it is cooked, transfer the pulao on a plate and serve.
