Shravan Spcl: Chatpati Dhaniya Aloo Ki Sabji
Aloo or potato is one vegetable of which we can never get bored. Since the Hindu month of Shravan has started, most people in Northern India have started observing vegetarianism for the entire month. Abstaining from non vegetarian food leads to shortage of choices. You have to look after the taste and preferences of the family members and cook accordingly.
This is when aloo comes to your rescue. Almost everyone loves to eat aloo or potatoes. Therefore today we have a special Shravan vegetarian recipe for you which is made entirely with potatoes. Dhaniya aloo ki sabji is one of the easiest vegetarian recipes which you can prepare without hassle. The aroma of coriander makes this dish a lip-smacking treat for all.

Try out this Shravan special vegetarian recipe of chatpati dhaniya aloo ki sabji and have a delicious vegetarian meal.

Cooking time: 15 minutes
Ingredients
- Potatoes- 4 (boiled and cut into thick slices)
- Onion- 1 (chopped)
- Dhaniya (coriander) seeds- 1tbsp (crushed)
- Dhaniya powder- 2tsp
- Amchoor (dry mango) powder- 1tsp
- Salt- as per taste
- Turmeric powder- 1tsp
- Red chilli powder- 1tsp
- Oil- 2tbsp
- Coriander leaves- 2tbsp (chopped for garnish)
Procedure
1. Heat oil in a pan and add the crushed coriander seeds. Saute for a few seconds.
2. Add chopped onions and fry till they turn golden brown.
3. Then add the potato slices and saute for 3-4 minutes.
4. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, amchoor powder, salt and mix well.
5. Saute for another 3-4 minutes.
6. Once done, switch off the flame and garnish the sabji with chopped coriander leaves.
Chatpati dhaniya aloo ki sabji is ready to be served. This special Shravan vegetarian recipe can be eaten with chapatis or rotis.
