Peas Paneer Curry Recipe For Diabetics
Diabetes is one such disease which is empowering the full universe. It is only through the food we eat that can we help ourselves battle this disease. There are certain types of foods which only diabetic patients should eat in order to maintain their insulin levels in their body. For diabetic patients who are vegetarians, here is one of the best and delicious recipes you can try out this afternoon for lunch.
The diabetic vegetarian recipe, pea and paneer curry is famous for the elderly group of people. The reason being it is that paneer is soft in nature and easy to digest too. The pea and paneer curry recipe is an awesome side dish you can enjoy alongside a pulav. For diabetic patients, try this easy vegetarian delight, peas and paneer curry.

Follow this pea and panner curry recipe for an afternoon treat to your tummy.
Serves : 8
Cooking Time : 15 minutes
Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Ingredients
Onion - 2 (chopped)
Paneer - 100gms
Garlic - 5
Cloves - 2 (both finely chopped)
Ginger - 2 nos (finely chopped)
Green chili - 1 nos (sliced)
Coriander seeds - 2 tbsp
Cumin seeds - 2 tbsp
Turmeric - 1 tbsp
Garam masala - 1tbsp
Tomatoes - 4 (sliced)
Frozen peas - 1 cup
Spinach leaves - 2 cups (chopped)
Cilantro - 1 sprig (chopped)
Oil - 3 tbsp
Salt to taste
Procedure
- Heat oil in a pan and wait for it to turn hot. When it is hot, add the onions and cook it gently until it begins to soften and turns into a pinkish colour.
- Now add in the garlic and ginger and cook the ingredients gently for a minute.
- Then add in the chili, coriander and cumin seeds, turmeric powder and garam masala. Let these ingredients cook over a medium flame for about 3 minutes.
- Now add in the tomatoes and salt to the mixture. Stir the ingredients well. Let it cook covered for 5 minutes.
- Add the peas after 5 minutes and bring it to a boil. Now reduce the heat and cover the pan.
- Add the chopped spinach, stirring it gently in the pan.
- Simmer until the spinach has just wilted and the peas are hot and tender.
- Drop in the chopped cilantro and scatter the paneer on the top of the mixture. Spoon the curry gently over the paneer to cover it completely.
- You can sprinkle the rest of the curry with cilantro if needed.
Your pea and paneer curry is now ready to eat. Serve hot and enjoy the delicious taste.
