The 15-Minute Instant Idli Recipe: Fluffy & Fast!
Manga (Mango) Curry
Ingredients:
4-5 Ripe Juicy Mangoes
¼ tsp Turmeric Powder
¼ tsp Red Chilly Powder
' Glass Water
Salt to taste
To Grind...
1 Cup Grated Fresh Coconut
' tsp Jeera (Cinnamon)
2 Green Chillies
3 Tbsp Curd
For Tempering...
' tsp Mustard Seeds
1 Red Chilly Whole
4-5 Curry Leaves
Method:
Peel the skin of mangoes and cook it with turmeric powder, salt, chilly powder and water in a cooker for approximately 3-5 minutes after the whistle. If you are cooking in a kadai, you might have to cook it for approximately 10-15 minutes until it is well cooked and pulpy.
Please note that you can also choose to chop the mangoes in 4 and cook.
Once it is done, mash the cooked mangoes a little.
Meanwhile, grind coconut, jeera, green chillies, and curd together.
Mix this grinded mixture with the gravy and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Remove it from the stove.
For tempering...add some mustard seeds in hot oil. When it splutters, add red chilly whole and curry leaves.
Mix with the gravy and serve hot with rice.
