Lemon Rasam – Best Recipe For Pregnant Women
Ingredients:
1. 1 cup Toor dal (pressure cooked with turmeric and a teaspoon of oil)
2. 1 tsp Cumin seeds and black pepper (powdered together)
3. 4-5 Curry leaves
4. 1 slit Green chili
5. Chopped Coriander
6. 1 Lemon (' cup lemon juice)
7. 1/4 tsp Turmeric
8. 2 1/2 cups Water (or vegetable stock)
9. Pinch of asafoetida
10. Mustard seeds- 1/4 tsp
11. 1 tsp any refined oil
12. Salt as per requirement
13. ' tsp Sugar
Lemon Rasam Preparation:
1. Mash the cooked toor dal well and leave it aside.
2. In a vessel, add a teaspoon of oil, mustard seeds, asafoetida, cumin pepper powder, curry leaves, green chilies, turmeric and fry well.
3. Add 2 cups of water to the fried mixture and wait for it to boil.
4. Then add the mashed toor dal, sugar, salt and stir well.
5. After a few minutes turn off the stove and add ' cup lemon juice. Garnish with chopped coriander . Tasty lemon rasam is ready to serve.
Enjoy the lemon rasam recipe hot with ghee and plain rice. The rasam can also be savored as soup.
