Delicious Gobi Butter Masala Gravy
This afternoon we have a special treat. For those who love gobi, this simple recipe will leave you wanting for more. Boldsky shares with you an easy gobi butter masala recipe. The highlight of this gobi recipe is you can eat it with rice, pulav and even roti.

The taste of this simple gobi butter masala recipe is one of a kind. The addition of butter to the dish will enhance it's taste and the spices too will only make your drool. The other highlight of this gobi butter masala gravy is the tomato gravy. While preparing this vegetarian dish, make sure that the tomatoes are red and ripe. Using raw tomatoes will only spoil the entire taste of the dish.

On the other hand, the gobi used should be diced into minor pieces so that it cooks well and absorbs the thick gravy.

Here is how you prepare gobi butter masala, take a look:

Cooking Time: 16 minutes

You Will Need
- Butter - 1 cup ( melted)
- Spices - handful (cardamon, cinnamon, clove, bayleaf- wrap the spices in a muslin cloth)
- Onion- 2 ( chopped)
- Cashew Nuts - 1 bowl
- Ginger Garlic - 1 tbsp (paste)
- Salt - to taste
- Green Chilli - 6 (depending on your taste)
- Dry Red Chilli - 5 (depending on your taste)
- Tomatoes - 4 (chopped)
- Sugar - 1 tbsp
- Kasturi Methi - 1 tbsp
- Corn Flour - 1 tbsp
- All Purpose Flour - 1 tbsp
- Coriander Power - 1 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Fresh Cream - 3 tbsp

Procedure
- In a pressure cooker add in the melted butter. Wait for it to get a little hot and then add in the muslin cloth containing the spices.
- Now add the chopped onions and cashew nuts. Give the ingredients a good stir.
- Allow the ingredients to cook till you see the onion turning into a golden brown colour.
- Now add in the ginger garlic paste and salt to taste. Saute the mixture and then add in the green chilli.
- Now add in the dried red chilli the cooker and give it a slight mix.
- Now add the tomatoes in the cooker and close the lid. Pressure cook the ingredients for three whistles.
- When the ingredients are cooked. Strain the ingredients and extract all the juice. Now blend the solid into a paste.
- Transfer the paste into a pan and add a little sugar to the paste while it is cooking on a low flame.
- Now add a little kasturi methi and give it a stir.
- Now take a plate, add a little corn flour, all purpose flour, crushed pepper, coriander powder and salt. Mix these ingredients with a little water. Apply the paste on the gobi.
- Now in another pan, add little oil. Wait for it to get hot and then add in the gobi. Fry the gobi.
- When done, remove the gobi and place it on a plate.
- In the same pan, remove the excess or left behind oil. Pour in the blended gravy and add a little butter.
- After 3 minutes of cooking, add in the pieces of gobi. Cover it with a lid.
- When done, add fresh cream and stir.
- Serve hot.

Nutrition Tip
Gobi is beneficial for health since it contains a good amount of proteins, phosphorus and potassium. Gobi also helps to eliminate stress.

Tip
Make sure you rinse the gobi well before cooking it. Soaking it in hot water with turmeric remove any worms or insects in the gobi.
