Coconut Chutney With Curd: Putandu Recipe
Tamil New Year or Puthandu generally falls on 13th or 14th April (during the Chitrrai month). As it is the time for celebrations, you should prepare extensively mouth-watering special delicacies. Idli, dosa are staple Tamil foods which are teamed up with sambhar or coconut chutney. Try making coconut chutney with curd.
Coconut chutney with curd recipe:

Ingredients
1 cup freshly grated coconut
2tbsp beaten curd
½tsp mustard seeds
6-8 green chillies
2 dry red chillies
salt
1tsp urad dal
oil
water
2 springs curry leaves
Directions to make coconut chutney with curd:
1. Blend coconut, green chillies and curd with water in a blender. Mix until smooth. Pour in a bowl and keep aside.
2. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. When the seeds start to splutter, add red chillies, and curry leaves. Stir fry until golden brown.
3. Now add the coconut paste and stir well. Cook on low flame for 3-4 minutes. Pour in a bowl and serve.
Prepare this delicious and spicy chutney on Puthandu. Serve with idli, vada or dosa.
