Raj Puri: An Awesome Breakfast Idea
Raj puri is one of the most favoured and ideal Indian breakfast recipes. It is a kind of Indian bread that is deep fried in oil and is a delightful puri recipe. Boiled rajma (black beans) are used in this puri recipe. Raj puri is best when served with a simple gravy dish, be it vegetarian or non-vegetarian.
As Sunday calls for something special in the kitchen. Here is one of the best puri recipes for making this Sunday special for your family members. This breakfast recipe is also ideal for kids as it is stuffed with lots of proteins in the form of a healthy and tasty rajma. Raj puri is also a very spicy recipe and will be appreciated by all the food lovers. Here is the recipe for raj puri.

Serves: 4-6
Preparation Time: 10-15 minutes
Cooking Time: 20-25 minutes
Ingredients
- Maida (All purpose flour)- 1 cup
- Besan (Gram Flour)- 2 cups
- Rajma (Black beans)- 2 cups (boiled)
- Garam Masala- 1tsp
- Star Anise- ½tsp (powder)
- Cumin Powder- 1tsp
- Ginger Paste- 1tsp
- Milk- 2tsp
- Ghee- 1tbsp
- Vegetable Oil- 1-2 cups
- Salt- To taste
Procedure
- Take a big bowl and add the maida and besan to it. Add some water and mix it well.
- Now take the rajma and mash it well. Add the garam masala, star anise powder, cumin powder and ginger paste to it.
- Mix all the ingredients well. Add this to the bowl of maida and mix them well for a minute or two.
- Add the milk, ghee and some salt to the bowl and again mix well. If necessary add some water and form a relatively tough dough.
- Make small balls out of the dough. Roll beach of these balls into small, flat and round shapes and keep them aside.
- Take a deep bottomed frying pan over the gas oven and add the vegetable oil to it. Keep it on a medium flame.
- Deep fry all of them one by one in the oil. Once they become fluffy and golden in colour take them out of the oil and strain the extra bit of oil in them.
- Repeat this for all the raj puris.
- Your raj puri is now ready to be served.
