Crispy Hash Browns For Breakfast
If the lack of time is your only concern for not having proper breakfast, then hash browns are here to your rescue. Hash brown is a simple preparation of potatoes, which are pan fried after being grated or mashed.
Originally, the leftover mashed potatoes were used to make hash browns in the UK. It is a perfect breakfast recipe for working people. It is quick and easy to prepare and can be quite filling. However, hash browns is not a suitable recipe for strict dieters. A lot of butter and potatoes goes into its preparation.

So, if you are looking for a quick breakfast recipe, then hash browns are the best of the lot. Take a look at the recipe of crispy hash browns and give it a shot.

Cooking time: 15 minutes
All you need
- Potatoes- 4 (peeled and finely grated)
- Onion- 1 (finely chopped)
- Milk- 2tbsp
- Cornflour- 4tbsp
- Salt- as per taste
- Black pepper powder- as per taste
- Butter- 3tbsp

Procedure
1. Mix the grated potatoes, salt, onion, milk, cornflour and black pepper powder together in a bowl.
2. Heat butter in a non-stick pan and allow it to melt on low heat.
3. Once the butter melts, scoop a spoonful of the potato mixture into the butter.
4. Use a spatula to flatten the top of the mixture. Do not stir.
5. Fry the mixture till it turns golden brown.
6. Use a spatula to turn it to the other side. Fry till it turns golden brown on the other side too.
7. Once done, transfer the hash brown to a paper towel to remove excess oil.
8. After that, transfer it to a plate and serve.

Crispy hash browns are ready to be served. Enjoy this hearty breakfast item with poached eggs and toasted bread.
