Dosa has been counted as one of the must-have foods before you die. This is a staple South Indian food that is prepared mainly for breakfast. You can find hot butter greased dosas in street stalls, food joints, restaurants, hotels and even homes! Dosa if prepared with lesser oil or butter can be a really healthy and low calorie breakfast dish. However, you can make the breakfast more delicious by trying out some special filling inside the plain dosa. Corn masala dosa, breakfast recipe:

Serves: 3
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 45 minutes
Ingredients
- Baby corn- ½ cup (boiled)
- Rice- 2 cups
- Onion- 2 (chopped)
- Green chillies- 4
- Tomato- 2 (chopped)
- Salt- as per taste
- Oil- 1 cup
Procedure
- Wash the rice properly in flowing water under the tap. Clean it properly and keep changing water unless it becomes transparent. Soak the rice for about an hour in water.
- Now remove water and grind the rice with salt & water to make a thick dosa batter. Leave it aside for another hour.
- In a bowl mix corn, onion, tomato and green chillies together. Mix well and then sprinkle salt. Keep this dosa stuffing aside.
- Now, heat a griddle (tawa). When it becomes hot, spread oil on its surface and then pour the dosa batter.
- Spread the batter and make a round circle of it. With a spoon, spread oil across the dosa ends to cook it. Also spread in the centre.
- Take a spoonful of the corn stuffing and place on the centre of the dosa that is cooking on the tawa. Spread it on the dosa. (If you want, you can also add grated coconut at this time over the stuffing).
- Now gently close the dosa and serve on the plate.
