Cabbage Cutlet For Breakfast

Are you in a mood to try something new for breakfast? Then we have a perfect breakfast recipe for you. You must have heard of various kinds of cutlets. Ever heard of cabbage cutlet?
Cabbage cutlet is a great option for breakfast. Especially if you have kids at home who are not too fond of vegetables on their plates. It is a great way to make them eat veggies. It is an easy recipe and if you have the ingredients ready at home, it hardly takes any time.

So, fry up some cabbage cutlets for breakfast and you can be rest assured that your kids will finish them off in no time.
Serves: 3-4
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 20 minutes
Ingredients
- Cabbage- 1 cup (chopped)
- Potatoes- 2 (boiled and mashed)
- Green chillies- 2 (chopped)
- Curry leaves- 5-6 (chopped)
- Coriander leaves- 2tbsp (chopped)
- Chat masala- 1tsp
- Maida (all purpose flour)- 2tbsp
- Bread crumbs- ½ cup
- Oil- for deep frying
- Salt- as per taste
- Water- ½ cup
Procedure
- Mix cabbage, potatoes, green chillies, curry leaves, coriander leaves, salt and chat masala together in a bowl.
- Make medium sized round balls out of the mixture. Press it between your palms to flatten and give it a shape of a cutlet.
- Prepare a mixture of maida and water in another bowl.
- Dip the prepared cutlets in this maida mixture. Coat well on both sides.
- Spread the bread crumbs on a flat plate. Roll the cutlets on the bread crumbs.
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan and fry these cutlets for about 10 minutes on low flame.
- Once done, transfer the cutlets to a serving platter.
Enjoy cabbage cutlet for breakfast with mint chutney or ketchup.
