Stuffed Bread Pakora Recipe
A rainy evening with cups of steaming hot tea and crispy pakoras- a common scenario in almost every Indian household. The monsoons in India are very special. It is the most celebrated excuse for family members to gather for tea and snacks while watching the rains pour down. The snacks particularly should be pakoras. The variety of pakoras may be different. Be it the onion pakoras or aloo pakoras or the delicious bread pakoras, each of them is relished by everyone at home.
Stuffed bread pakora is an improvised form of the regular bread pakora. This pakora is prepared using potato stuffing inside the bread. You can always experiment with the stuffing of your choice. Try using paneer, cheese or even minced chicken if you are a non-vegetarian.

Prepare this delicious stuffed bread pakora at home and have a great time with friends and family.
Serves: 3-4
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes
Ingredients
- Bread slices- 5
- Potatoes- 2 (big, boiled and mashed)
- Onion- 1 (chopped)
- Gram flour/besan- 4tbsp
- Red chilli powder- 1tsp
- Dry mango powder- 1tsp
- Roasted cumin powder- 1tsp
- Cumin seeds- 1tsp
- Green chillies- 2 (chopped)
- Salt- as per taste
- Tomato ketchup- 2tbsp
- Coriander leaves- 1tbsp (chopped)
- Oil- 2-3 cups (for deep frying)
- Water- ½ cup
Procedure
- Mix the mashed potatoes, salt, red chilli powder, dry mango powder, roasted cumin powder, green chillies and coriander leaves together in a bowl.
- Cut the bread slices into triangular pieces. Spread the tomato ketchup on each slice as needed.
- Spread the potato mixture on the slice and cover it with another slice of bread.
- Now mix the gram flour, cumin seeds, salt and water in a bowl. Prepare a semi-thin batter.
- Dip the bread in this batter.
- Heat oil for deep frying in a pan on high flame.
- Once it gets hot, reduce the flame to medium and fry the bread pakodas for about 3-4 minutes on each side.
- Transfer the pakoras to a serving platter and serve them hot with ketchup or green chutney.
Stuffed bread pakoras taste excellent when served with tea or coffee. Make your monsoons special with these crispy delights.
