Spicy Potato Bonda Recipe

Potato Bonda recipe -
Ingredients
Filling
4 large - Potatoes
1 tsp - Mustard seeds
1 tsp - Urad dal
1/4 tsp - Turmeric
1 small - chopped Onions
3 to 4 - chopped chilies
2 inch piece - chopped Ginger
1/2 bunch - chopped Coriander
Batter
1 cup - Bengal gram flour / besan
1 tsp - Rice flour
1/4 tsp - chili powder
1/4 tsp - Turmeric
Salt to taste
Method
1 ) Add salt to the already boiled and mashed potatoes.
2) Heat oil in a pan, add mustard, urad dal, turmeric powder, finely chopped chillies, ginger and onion and fry it for a minute or two.
4 ) Add the salted mashed potatoes with chopped coriander leaves and mix well. Make small balls of the potato mixture.
5 ) Mix all ingredients with water for batter and make a thick batter.
6 ) Heat a pan with oil to deep fry. Dip potato balls in the batter and fry till golden in color. Your hot Potato Bonda recipe is ready to serve.
Serve Potato Bonda as a snack and beat the winter chill. Enjoy the hot snack with your tea or coffee. It's sure to please on a cold winter's day or anytime you are in the mood for a hot spicy snack.
