Want to get a flavour of Bengali food? Hilsa fish is greatly liked by Bengalis. Enjoy the taste of hilsa doi mach, a popular delicacy in Bengal. Extremely easy to prepare, this recipe will leave you wanting for more.
Ingredients:
4 pieces Hilsa fish
100gms Curd
50gms mustard paste
Mustard oil
Salt
Turmeric powder
Green chilly
Red chilli powder
Method:
Wash the fish pieces nicely.
Then marinate the fish with salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, mustard paste, curd, and place it in a tiffin box with 5 green chillies.
Pour some mustard oil over it.
Then close the box and place it in a vessel of boiling water.
Let the box remain in the boiling water for 15-20 minutes.
Once the box cool down, the fish is ready to be served. Serve with hot rice.
