It's weekend and it's the time for cooking up something innovative. The same old recipes can get extremely boring after a time. So, to provide a welcome change to your taste-buds, you need to experiment with your regular food. Weekend is the perfect time to start with the experiments.
Kohinoor chicken is an excellent experiment option to start with. It is an innovative and easy chicken recipe which will take your taste-buds on a delightful ride. So, stop thinking and start experimenting.

Serves: 3-4
Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Cooking Time: 30 minutes
Ingredients
- Boneless Chicken- 1kg
- Onions- 2 (chopped)
- Ginger garlic- 1tsp (crushed)
- Tomato juice- 1/2 cup
- Lemon juice- 1tsp
- Chilli powder- 1/4tsp
- Salt & pepper- as per taste
- Garam masala- 1-2 pinches
- Saffron/saffron food colour- 1-2 pinches
- Flour- 2tbsp
- Mint- 4-5 sprigs
- Curry leaves- 2 sprigs
- Red chillies- 2-4
- Oil- 2tbsp
- Fresh cream- 2tbsp (optional)
Method
- Marinate chicken by adding ginger & garlic ,salt ,pepper,chilli powder, lemon juice , garam masala & saffron.
- Now roll chicken pieces into flour to coat n seal the flavours of the chicken & deep fry it in a large pan / kadhai in 2-3 divisions untill golden brown & crisp.
- In a separate pan add some oil or butter add broken red chillies ,mint leaves fry it for a minute & take it out in a small plate to be used later for garnishing.
- Now, in the same oil, put in the chopped onion add some ginger & garlic to the pan.
- Add tomato juice/puree & fresh cream (or coconut milk) optional.
- Add the chicken pieces to the pan adjusting the amount of salt & pepper by tasting , mix it well until the gravy is very well absorbed into the chicken.
- Add chopped herbs ,put it into the serving dish & add the prepared garnish .
- Enjoy your chicken with mutter pulao or butter naan.
