Fried chicken goes well with rotis or can be had a snack too. We have simple fried chicken recipe for you. This chicken snack recipe, when ideally spiced, will be a sure hit with children too. Read on...and try this tasty chicken dish.
Ingredients for fried chicken:
- Chicken – 1 kilogram
- Onion (large) – Chopped
- Soy Sauce – 1 tsp
- Fresh ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
- Chilli powder – 2 tsp (or more if you want it spicier)
- Turmeric powder - ' tsp
- Lemon juice (freshly squeezed) – 1 tsp
- Salt (As per taste)
- Oil (for shallow frying)
How to prepare fried chicken?
- Cut the chicken into medium sized pieces.
- Mix together all the dry spices, ginger garlic paste, soy sauce and salt.
- Mix the chicken with this and cook in a pressure cooker with sufficient water.
- Cook uncovered for some more time. (So that the juices are well absorbed)
- Now, add sufficient oil in a pan and fry the onions till they turn golden brown,
- Once the onion is done, add the chicken pieces and cook carefully turning over frequently so that it turns into deep brown colour on all sides.
- Sprinkle lemon juice and serve hot.
