Mughlai Paratha: Breakfast Recipe
Mughlai paratha is one of the tastiest dish which you could ever taste in Bengali cuisine. This crisp paratha is made with egg and potato stuffing. Needless to mention, the paratha tastes heavenly!
Mughlai paratha can also be prepared using minced meat as the stuffing. This breakfast recipe however is not for people who are too conscious about the calorie count since it is fried in a generous amount of oil. But for those who love to chuck the calorie count and enjoy their food, this is one of the best breakfast recipes to try.

So, prepare the tasty Mughlai paratha and enjoy a hearty breakfast.
Serves: 3
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 5 minutes
Ingredients
- All purpose flour- 1 ½ cups
- Onion- 2 (medium sized, finely chopped)
- Potatoes- 2 (boiled and mashed)
- Green chillies- 2 (finely chopped)
- Oil- 2tbsp (for kneading)
- Water- 1 cup
- Salt- as per taste
- Eggs- 3
- Bread crumbs- 4tsp
- Oil- 3tbsp (for frying)
Procedure
1. Mix egg, salt in a bowl and beat it properly with a spoon.
2. Mix chopped onions, chopped green chillies, bread crumbs together and keep it aside.
3. Knead the flour with salt, oil and water. Make a semi soft dough.
4. Make small balls out of the mixture and roll out medium sized chapatis.
5. Pour a little egg mixture at the centre of the chapati. Spread it evenly with a spoon.
6. Now place the boiled potatoes mixture at the centre and spread it in a square shape.
7. Now fold the sides of the round chapatis in a square shape by folding the corners.
8. Make sure the filling inside is fully covered.
9. Wet your fingers and press the corners lightly so that the folds do not open while frying.
10. Now heat some oil in a pan and fry the paratha on both sides till it turns golden brown and crisp.
11. Once done, switch off the flame and serve.
Mughlai paratha is ready to be served. Serve it with the curry of your choice.
