Rani Mukerji Disappoints In Anavila Saree

On our good days, we are rather happy to see Rani Mukerji in a saree. It tones down the extra pounds of flab she has accumulated and she looks naturally graceful. However, on this occasion, seeing Rani Mukerji in an Anavila saree was a nightmare. The 'Mardaani' star was in her hometown Kolkata to promote her upcoming movie and she disappointed us with her style statement once again.

Rani Mukerji was in a saree that had a dragonfly motif. This plain white khadi saree had printed dragonflies on the the pallu. We can say from looking at the drape that it was coarse and thick cotton. The white saree had a navy blue border. Let us clarify that there was nothing whatsoever wrong with the saree. It was very elegant piece from Anavila.

What spoiled this look for Rani was the blouse. We cannot figure out why she chose to wear a collared blouse that was completely ill-fitting. This navy blue blouse with a closed back and V-neck made her look totally top heavy. The sleeves of the blouse did not sit well on Rani's arms. The saree's elegance was completely wasted due to the blouse.

While in Kolkata, Rani Mukerji chose her accessories well. We like the large silver jhukmas and the colourful bangles she wore. The black bindi was stunning on Rani's pretty face. But those fringes need some styling and Rani really needs to change her hairstyle. We hope that the next time we see Rani Mukerji is a saree, we are not as disappointed.
