Cannes 2014: Uma Thurman In Yellow Versace Gown
Cannes Film Festival 2014 is an event for surprises. For example, we had no idea that Uma Thurman was going to light up the red carpet with her glorious presence. Yes, you read it right! Uma Thurman is at Cannes 2014 attending the premiere of ‘Clouds Of Sils Maria'. It does not get bigger or better than this; John Travolta escorting Uma Thurman on his arm on the red carpet of Cannes Film Festival 2014. What a moment it is for those who love old world Hollywood charm.
Uma Thurman was in an Atelier Versace gown that can best be described a sunshine coloured. This vibrant canary yellow gown looked splendid on the tall and leggie actress. She looked stunning in this Versace creation. The gown has a cross over bodice with a crevice neckline that does not drop dangerously low. The fluidity of the gown is provided by the delicately dropping off-shoulders sleeves. The gown also has a short train and a cape that makes it look floating.

Uma Thurman's Atelier Versace gown is probably custom made because we haven't noticed it on the ramp so far. The canary yellow colour of the gown provides some much needed relief from the sombre blacks, greys and whites we are totally bored with seeing on the red carpet of Cannes Film Festival 2014. In fact, this shade of yellow is becoming the ‘in' thing for this summer. Let us remind you that we saw Kate Middleton wear this for the first time in the season during her Down Under tour as she arrived in Australia.

She also completed her look with a messy braided hairstyle. The messy hairstyle gave an apt fluidity to her entire ensemble. The look was very summery and fresh but glamorous enough for the Cannes red carpet. This is what we expect from Hollywood heavy weights when they attend Cannes Film Festival.
