Alia Bhatt's style in 'Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania' promotions has been impeccable so far. We have loved her in mini dresses, short skirts and distressed jeans. She has a leg injury and cannot wear all kinds of footwear. In spite of that, she managed to look good in the sporty flats she was wearing. However, during the Mumbai promotions, Alia Bhatt was in a maxi dress that did not quite impress us.

The young actress donned a coral coloured maxi dress that had noodle straps. Although the coral colour is really hot on the fashion metre, Alia did not shine in this look. We have seen Alia Bhatt in maxi dresses before. She does manage to look good in these long dresses. But it is not really her alma mater. She is at her best in short dresses or pants that are teamed up with sports wedges or boots.

While Alia Bhatt was at the promotions of 'Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania' in Mumbai, she looked slightly awkward in this long dress. It could be because the dress did not had visible slit that would have helped her to walk.

As usual, Alia Bhatt's shoes drew a lot of attention. She was wearing flat Birkenstock'esque metallic sandals. The sandals on their own were really smart but we are not very sure it went well with the maxi dress.

Alia Bhatt's style is much more sporty and young than this look. She was clearly out of her element over here. Our advice to Alia is that she should not follow fashion trends blindly. For more PHOTOS

Alia Bhatt looked awkward in this full length maxi gown that was bright coral in colour. She looked nice but her movements were obstructed.

In Metallic Flats

Alia paired up her maxi dress with Birkenstock'esque metallic sandals. The sandals were nice but they did not go too well with the maxi dress.

Gold n Orange Beads

Alia Bhatt kept her accessories simple. She wore a bunch of metallic and orange beads on wrist to match her dress and shoes.

Hairstyle

Alia side parted her hair and then pinned it up into a half pony. This hairstyle tamed Alia's wild locks a little and gave her a neat look.

Coral Lips

Alia matched the colour of her lipstick with her dress. She looked totally stunning in this vibrant lip colour.

With Varun Dhawan

Varun Dhawan, who is Alia's co-star in 'Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania', was dressed in a black leather jacket and grey military print cargoes.
