Anamika Khanna Indian Outfits To Try
Anamika Khanna's outfits have recently been in the news primarily due to Sonam Kapoor. The saree that Sonam Kapoor wore at Cannes 2013 was from this designer's couture. She also wore two Indian outfits from Anamika Khanna consecutively for two promotional events. Deepika Padukone also wore an Anamika Khanna's white outfit for her Chennai Express trailer release. That is why, we got take a close look at this designer's work.
What is most striking about Anamika Khanna's outfits are that they are Indian and yet have a unique contemporary style. Although these outfits are Indian, you cannot call them traditional. In some ways, Anamika Khanna sarees and lehengas represent the new face of Indian fashion. They experiment with the form of the garment while keeping the designs and fabrics intact.
Anamika Khanna outfits fit perfectly in the contemporary fashion that we all are talking about. You could say, these are outfits for a 'global-Indian'. What we love most about Anamika Khanna's sarees are that they are always draped in a different way. For example, Sonam Kapoor's white saree at the Cannes Opening ceremony was draped like a gown.
Here are some Anamika Khanna outfits that might inspire you to try the contemporary form of Indian fashion.

White Lehenga Choli
This white lehenga choli worn by Sonam Kapoor was one of the best creations of Anamika Khanna. The choli had an open back with black straps giving it a very Western touch. The lehenga had frills of the kind you see in tulle gowns.

White n Red Churidar Kameez
The next outfit that Sonam Kapoor wore was a white churidar and long kameez. The kameez had a white jacket with red floral details on it.

White Lace Saree
Sonam Kapoor wore a white lace saree at the Opening Ceremony of Cannes. The saree was draped like a gown and had a trailing full-sleeved jacket over it.

White Anarkali Gown
Deepika was seen in this white anarkali gown at the promotion of Chennai Express. This plain full-sleeved anarkali gown had exquisite embroidery.

White Embroidered Sarees
This plain white chiffon saree is special because of its embroidered lace borders. Again, Anamika Khanna gives a sheer outfit with an Indo-Western touch.

Peach Coloured Saree
This nude shade of peach is rarely used for Indian outfits. This saree had some brilliant zardosi work and yet there was a distinct urban edge to it.

Black n Gold Lehenga Choli
Sonam Kapoor wore this typical Rajasthani lehenga at the IIJW 2012. This lehenga had lace and lovely gota work on it.

Black Saree
Soha Ali Khan wore a black silk saree with silver and blue work on it. This saree was draped in a unique way with a pleated pallu.

Black n White Saree
