Holi: Lip Care For Holi, 3 DIY Lips Masks To Remove Stubborn Colour
It is that time of the year again - Holi, which is one of the most vibrant and colourful festivals of the year. While it is a time to celebrate, it is also a time to be cautious.
Contrary to days gone by, when people played with natural colours and flowers, today's colours contain harmful chemicals that can result in extensive damage to your eyes, skin, and hair.

It seems that there are plenty of tips for skin care and hair care for Holi, but what about lip care? Not many, is there? Here are some tips for lip care for Holi.
Do not let the synthetic colours spoil your festive spirit this year - check out these lipcare tips for Holi and 3 DIY lip masks to remove stubborn colour after the fun of Holi!
Lip Care Tips For Holi
1. Petroleum jelly
As your lips are highly sensitive to harmful elements, it is imperative that you apply plenty of petroleum jelly before you step out of the house to enjoy Holi. The petroleum jelly will keep your lips hydrated and secured throughout the day [1].
2. Invest in a good lip balm
Before playing Holi, protect your lips with a layer of nourishing natural lip balm since they are the most sensitive part of your skin. Natural lip balms provide moisture to your lips and prevent harmful colors from settling in their cracks. As a result of lip balm, your lips will remain soft and supple, which will prevent colour from settling in your lips or entering your mouth.
3. Exfoliate
Dry, dead skin flakes can be removed from your lips with a wet, soft toothbrush or washcloth. This will not only help remove the dry skin but also the dried colour [2].

4. Hydrate
The lips do not contain oil glands, which causes them to dry out and become chapped easily, as opposed to the rest of your skin. Drink lots of water to keep your lips from drying out, and avoid licking your lips, which saps moisture.
Also, after Holi, you do not want those colours entering your body that way.
