Process:

  • Ensure that the entire face is dry before you start the removal treatment with a dental floss at home.
  • Now, soak the hand towel in hot water. Let it be there for a few seconds and squeeze the towel dry.
  • Then, fold the towel small into a square shape and dab it on top of your blackheads and whiteheads prone area. In minutes, the towel will become cold. In that case, repeat the process by putting the towel back in hot water, squeezing and dabbing it on top of your blackhead-prone area.
  • Repeat this hot towel process for five to ten minutes, so that the clogged pores open up. Ensure the towel reaches the corners of the nose and is pressed gently without hurting yourself. Also, be careful about the heat of the towel, as it should not burn your skin.
  • Once the hot water treatment is done, take the dental floss in your hand. Cut 12-18 inch of the dental floss depending on how gross your blackhead and whitehead problem is.
  • Remember how the parlour professional holds the thread during eyebrows? Similarly, fix the two ends of the floss on both your index fingers and tighten the floss in between the portion.
  • In case you get the small fork-like dental floss, then simply slide the thread part on the blackhead/whitehead affected area.
  • Now, slide the floss gently from top to bottom of your nose or from the corners of your nose towards the cheeks. You can do the same on all affected areas with blackheads and whiteheads.
  • Ensure you do this in front of the mirror such that when the minute blackheads and whiteheads come out, you can see them.
  • Also, the mirror helps to slide down the dental floss in the right direction and repeat this wherever required. You will be able to see some of the minute particles of the blackheads and whiteheads getting stuck to the floss.
  • Keep sliding the floss on all the affected areas for the next 10 minutes. If the floss becomes very dirty in between, do change it with a fresh one.
  • Next, soak a cotton ball in a mild toner and wipe the entire area where you used the dental floss. You will feel calm and better.
  • The best part about this dental floss blackhead removal treatment at home is, it does not pain at all and also effectively removes the blackheads.
