We have all heard of the amazing benefits of green tea as a beverage. Green tea is a tasty and healthy option for many people, including those who are trying to lose weight.
It is great for the skin too, as it helps flush out the toxins from the body. Admittedly, the taste can take some time to get used to.
The need to have flawless skin can drive us to sacrifice a few things like needing great taste in everything. But, did you know that you can do more than just drink it for great skin?
Yes, you can use it in the form of a scrub for clear skin. As we all know, scrubbing and exfoliation are an integral part of skin care and determine whether or not our skin glows.
For the past year, I was unaware of the amazing benefits of scrubbing and ignored it. But, once we get into using scrubs, we realise the huge difference it can make.
It gently removes the top layer of the dead skin cells that otherwise make the skin look dull and lifeless to give way to new and shiny skin.
Here's a DIY all natural green tea and honey scrub that can give you clear skin like no other. Keep reading to find out more about it.
Green tea bags
Soak up two bags of green tea and cut them open once the tea is brewed. Squeeze out the content of the tea bags on to a bowl and add honey to it, to mix it up.
The honey would act as a moisturiser. Alternatively, if your skin is very stubborn and oily and you are dealing with acne marks, you can use any gentle face wash instead of honey.
Mix it up and gently rub it across your face in slow, clockwise and anti-clockwise motions. Massage all parts of the face in a similar fashion. If you used the honey mix, wash it off using your face wash.
If you used it with face wash, then washing it off with cold water would do. Apply ice or cold rose water over the areas you scrubbed after washing, in order to close up the open pores, as scrubbing can open up the pores.
So, there you have it, an easy scrub to get clear, glowing skin.
While green tea and honey together make a great companion for each other in this scrub, there are great benefits of drinking the tea as well, so be sure not to waste the tea you just brewed to make this scrub.
Drink it all up with some honey and I'm sure you wouldn't regret doing so. Keep reading!!
