Benefits Of Tree Tea Oil For Skin
Since time immemorial tea tree oil is mainly found in Australia. This light yellow oil with a nutmeg-like scent is widely known for its healing properties. Soaps, cosmetics and shampoos are made by using tea tree oil. This is one of the few essential oils that you don't have to dilute before applying on the skin.
Tea tree oil is also an essential natural treatment for skin infections and relieves skin from irritation. Another interesting fact about this oil is that, when the skin becomes inflamed, tea tree oil may be used to reduce the inflammation. One other benefits of tea tree oil is that it has the potential to treat athlete's foot. Athlete's foot is a common fungal-based skin problem that can cause severe itching and burning sensations in the affected area. Tea tree oil works on athlete's foot by killing the fungi associated with the infection.
Apart from that tea tree oil is known to be good for skin treatments like acne, boils and warts. Also it is said to reduce infections related to nails and scalp. It is also used topically as a local antiseptic for cuts, abrasions, burns, insect bites a, stings, boils, toothache, infections of the mouth and nose, sore throat, and for ear infections. Some people add it to bath water to treat cough, bronchial congestion, and pulmonary inflammation.

Tea tree oil is good for people who are affected by conjunctivitis. Dip a green tea bag in some hot water for a couple of minutes with 3 drops of tea tree oil. Once the bag is cooled down to a reasonable temperature for your skin place the green tea bag infused with tea tree oil on your closed eyelid for about 20 minutes.
Good for burns
Tea tree oil is beneficial for burns. Gently swab some tea tree oil onto the affected part of your body with a cotton ball. This will help people to get relief from burns

Tea tree oil is a superior way to for treating the skin after waxing. Tea tree oil is known to calm skin irritation and this oil minimises redness, stinging, itching and bumps.
Treats warts
Applying tea oil directly on the wart and leave it for 15-20 minutes, to dry. For sensitive skin, you can add tea tree oil to a carrier oil like almond. This is a good remedy to remove warts.
Battles infection
Tea tree oil helps prevent and halt the spread of skin infection caused by bacteria, virus or fungus. Apply using a cotton swab, one or more times daily.
Treat scalp problems
Use a few drops of tea tree oil to help get rid of dandruff and dry scalp. Use before bed and shampoo in the morning. The oil has a strong aroma that could clash with that of hair styling products and cologne. Also use tea tree oil to combat lice in your hair. Rub a moderate amount into the hair and scalp a; comb through to the ends. Repeat once or twice daily for at least a week.
Mouthwash
Using a mouthwash of tea tree oil diluted in water can help remedy and prevent gum diseases and plaque. Be careful not to swallow it. Small amounts are not considered toxic.

Gently wiping the skin with a cotton ball soaked plain or diluted tea tree oil can help calm inflammation, diminish infection and prevent new acne sores from developing.
