How To Apply Methi On Hair

Fenugreek, also called methi in India, is an easily available ingredient in the kitchen with a host of health benefits and medicinal properties. Fenugreek oil is extensively used these days for several kinds of body massages. Fenugreek leaves have also been extensively used for ages now in cooking, especially in Indian cuisine.
Fenugreek seeds can be used as a condiment to promote good health and for thick hair growth. It is a great flavouring agent when added to food appropriately and a body coolant.
Fenugreek leaves are also considered as body coolants. It can control diabetes and also induce labour in pregnant women. It is also a major ingredient to prevent heart attacks and for preventing cancer.
Fenugreek seeds aid in digestion, protect the liver, improve the kidney function and also help in weight loss. Fenugreek seeds have anti-ageing effects on the skin, fight against acne and help to moisturize the skin. Hence, fenugreek seeds are beneficial for the overall health, skin and hair.
The focus of this article is to understand how methi can be applied on hair to get the best benefits. We know that this is inexpensive. The other best part is that you do not have to go to a beauty parlour to get these packs applied on to your hair, you can just do it in minutes at home!!
For all remedies, all that you have to do is to soak fenugreek seeds overnight for about 24 hours and then grind it into a paste and mix it with different ingredients for different purposes.
For Healthy Hair:
Mix fenugreek paste and coconut milk and apply it on the scalp and hair. Leave it on for 30 minutes and rinse it off with a mild shampoo. This pack helps to keep your hair healthy, makes it look glossy and gives volume to the hair.
To Treat Hair Loss:
Mix fenugreek paste and olive oil or coconut oil to a smooth paste and apply to the hair concentrating on the damaged area. Leave it on for 10 minutes to dry. Rinse it off with a mild shampoo. You can also mix some aloe vera gel to this pack for better results.
Dandruff Treatment:
Add about 1 tbsp of lemon juice to the fenugreek paste, mix well and apply it all over the scalp. This is a great home remedy to treat dandruff.
For people with severe dandruff problem, here is another solution. Take about 3-4 tbsp of curd and add 2-3 tsp of methi to it. Soak it overnight and grind it to a smooth paste in the morning. Apply this to your scalp and hair and wash off after 30 minutes.
Hair Conditioner:
If you want to use a natural conditioner, methi is available at your disposal. Jut soak methi overnight and make a smooth paste out of it the next morning. Apply this paste all over the hair and scalp and leave it on for about 30 minutes. You can then rinse off with water. This gives a great shine to your hair.
Oil Control:
Mix about 2 spoons of apple cider vinegar and little water to the fenugreek paste and use this paste to wash your hair. This gives extraordinary results by controlling the excess oil on your hair.
Premature Greying Of Hair:
To avoid the premature greying of hair, you can boil some curry leaves, cool them and then blend it to a smooth paste with soaked methi seeds. Apply this all over your scalp evenly, leave it on for 30 minutes and then wash it off with cold water.
