Common Nighttime Habits That Are Seriously Ruining Your Hair!
Are you tired of having to deal with your unruly, damaged hair every day? Do you feel that you have done everything you can to revitalise your hair, but in vain?

Hair damage can be caused by various reasons. Some of the most common ones being poor nutrition, lack of a proper hair care routine, certain diseases that may cause hair fall, side effects of certain drugs, travelling frequently in pollution, etc.
However, if you feel that you have been doing everything right, in order to keep your tresses healthy, then there may be a few habits that you may be following, which might be damaging your hair.
Here are a few common habits that people indulge in, specifically during the nighttime, which can cause hair damage, have a look.

1. Going To Bed With Wet Hair
Going to bed with wet hair can lead to hair fall, as wet hair is very fragile and the constant friction of the pillows can also strip away moisture from the scalp.

2. Not Brushing Your Hair
Brushing your hair before bedtime is advisable if you want to avoid tangles and split ends. Just brush your hair a few times, gently, before you call it a day!

3. Wearing A Tight Ponytail
If you pull your hair back into a tight ponytail at night, chances are that your hair may break from the roots and cause more hair loss!

4. Wearing Tight Rubber Bands
Wearing tight clips or rubber bands throughout the night can also damage your hair to a considerable extent. Wear a loose braid or let your hair free during the nighttime.

5. Going To Bed With Hair Products On
Many a times, due to lack of time, people forget to wash and dry their hair, and leave on hair products like serums, gels, etc, on their hair, which can harm their hair, as these stay on for more than 6 hours!

6. Using Cotton Pillow Covers
Cotton is relatively rough and when you use cotton pillow covers, the constant friction may make your hair turn dry and brittle. You can go in for satin or silk pillow covers instead.

7. Not Washing Pillow Covers Often
Re-using the same pillow covers for too long can also lead to the build-up of microbes in your hair, causing problems like dandruff, hair fall, etc! So, avoid doing this.
