Blow drying is an effective method in adding volume to your hair. Add brilliance and shine to your hair with right blow drying and styling. Here are few tips that can be used to blow dry your hair to ensure your hair is kept in good condition despite the toll everyday wear and tear can have.
Wash your hair with a good shampoo and hair conditioner. Blot your hair with a towel and allow it to dry naturally. Apply any thermal protector hair product that protects them from heat, especially the hair ends.
Choose a good quality, high power but a lighter hair dryer that is light enough to hold easily since, holding your arms over your head can be pretty tiring.
Part your hair into four horizontal sections, two at the sides and two at the back. Clip these sections on top of your head.
Start blow drying the hair each section at a time
The Air flow from the dryer needs to be directed down the hair shaft from the roots until the ends.
Find a way to comfortably position the dryer over the head so that air flow will be directed down.
Either keep your head moving or the hair dryer moving to avoid heat damage. Do not direct the hair dryer directly at the scalp.
Fully dry each section of hair before moving to the next section, so that you don't need to redo it again later.
