Cosmetic Surgery To Look Slimmer & Prettier

According to a survey by the Girl Guides, an increasing number of girls find it hard to accept the way they look and would like to opt for laser treatments, liposuction or any other form of cosmetic surgery to look slimmer or prettier. 46 per cent of girls aged between 11 – 16 years and 50 per cent of girls aged between16 – 21 are willing to undergo any such treatment. Just about 19 per cent of girls who perform satisfactory or poor in school are unwilling to go in for cosmetic surgery.

The survey further shows girls as young as 11 are dissatisfied with how they look and are prepared to use surgery to make a change. There is also a direct link with their educational performances. Those who fail to excel academically want to get noticed through the way they look, says Nicola Grinstead, a trustee of Girlguiding, UK.
