Parama Ekadashi 2026: Do This Lord Vishnu Remedy On This Rare And Highly Auspicious Ekadashi Fast
Parama Ekadashi 2026 will be observed today, on Thursday, 11 June 2026, during the Krishna Paksha Ekadashi of Adhika Jyeshtha, also known as Purushottam Maas. Observed only during Adhika Maas, this relatively rare Ekadashi occurs approximately once every three years and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu in his form as Purushottama, the presiding deity of the sacred month.
Devotees also worship Lord Krishna and offer Tulsi leaves, flowers, incense and lamps as part of their prayers. The day is considered especially auspicious for Vishnu worship, and many devotees observe specific rituals and remedies believed to help seek divine blessings, remove obstacles and invite prosperity into their lives. One ritual often recommended on Parama Ekadashi involves worshipping Lord Vishnu along with Tulsi and performing specific prayers at home.
Parama Ekadashi Remedy For Lord Vishnu's Blessings
According to traditional practices shared by astrologers and spiritual teachers, devotees may follow these steps on Parama Ekadashi:
- Wake up during Brahma Muhurta and take a bath before beginning the day's worship.
- Clean the entrance of the home and sprinkle Gangajal, if available.
- Light a sesame oil (til oil) lamp near the main entrance.
- Offer prayers to Lord Vishnu with devotion.
- Present Tulsi leaves, sweets and bhog as offerings.
- Light a pure ghee lamp near a Tulsi plant.
Tulsi Parikrama And Mantra Chanting
After lighting the lamp near the Tulsi plant, devotees may perform Tulsi Parikrama while chanting Vishnu mantras. The mantra commonly recited is:
"Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya Namah"
This mantra is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is often chanted during Vishnu worship and Ekadashi observances.
Why Do Devotees Observe These Rituals?
These practices are rooted in devotional traditions connected with Lord Vishnu and Purushottam Maas. Many devotees believe that prayer, fasting, mantra chanting and
Tulsi worship on Parama Ekadashi help create an atmosphere of devotion and discipline while strengthening one's connection with the deity.
Tulsi holds a special place in Vaishnav traditions and is considered particularly dear to Lord Vishnu. As a result, Tulsi worship forms an important part of many Ekadashi observances.
Things To Keep In Mind
While customs may differ between regions and families, devotees generally focus on:
- Maintaining a prayerful mindset throughout the day
- Observing the Ekadashi fast according to their tradition
- Chanting Vishnu mantras
- Reading sacred texts dedicated to Lord Vishnu
- Offering charity and helping those in need
While remedies and rituals often attract attention, many spiritual teachers emphasise that their value lies in the devotion behind them. Parama Ekadashi is therefore not simply about performing a set of prescribed actions, but about approaching the day with sincerity, prayer and gratitude. For devotees observing Parama Ekadashi 2026, the focus remains on deepening their connection with Lord Vishnu and making the most of a rare Ekadashi that appears only during Purushottam Maas.
